In very dynamic match that lacked exceptionally good opportunities Smederevo footballers suffered a defeat from championship leader Partizan. Despite that Partizan dominated the whole match the most noticeable person was, unfortunately, referee Milorad Mazic.
As it was expected Partizan entered this match very aggressively but almost every attack was finished on the edge of the penalty area or with inaccurate distance attempts. During first half Jovetic, Lazic and Diara tried their luck, and on the other side Kasom had one good opportunity but he was inaccurate too so first half finished without goals.
Start of the second half looked much like first and already in 56th minute Partizan manages to score. After one breakthrough and left side cross, Tosic was alone in penalty area but his header was saved by Dusic. However after this save ball bounced back towards Tosic and this time he had no problem to send ball in to the net. This goal obviously motivated Partizan players that completely dominated the following minutes of the match, but except another attempt by Tosic in 62nd minute there were no other good chances. Last twenty minutes of the match Smederevo put all their effort in order to equalize so home team finished the match with four attackers. Zecevic had the best opportunity in 85th minute but three Partizan defenders tackled him in penalty area and despite obvious foul referee Mazic just waved off with his hand.
During this season Mazic harmed Smederevo couple of times and best known situation was one from first match against Partizan when he gave one point to guest team by awarding non existing penalty.
Next match Smederevo will play in Belgrade and opponent is Red Star. |
